Music – 3

I like the various sound effects and little sounds throughout. His singing is a little strange, and I can’t say it’s all that moving or captivating, but it is fun. Nice sax (?) solo. I like the chorus. And I’m a big fan of how the song opens. Great way to start an album.

Poetry – 3

Okay so I’m going to give this a three because it’s well written, it’s ambiguous enough to be able to be applied in many ways, and I really like the lyrics and the chorus. This isn’t one of my favorite songs, so when listening to it for this review I had to go look the lyrics up, and I was pleasantly surprised.

Insight – 3

I think he’s trying to say something, and the sentiment comes across as a sincere effort on his part. I like the sentimental tone of the lyrics, so I’m giving it a three. Definitely better than so many songs I can think of. I especially liked this:

“So many faces in and out of my life
Some will last, some will just be now and then
Life is a series of hellos and goodbyes
I’m afraid it’s time for goodbye again”

I like it, and it’s a great way to start the album, it’s just not one of my favorites.
