All around god awful. Why is his singing so bad? Why did he choose to sing with that voice on this song? And never has there been a more boring guitar instrumental for a song, my god.

It gets a two only because, technically, there are poetic elements to it. The chorus expression, “close to the borderline” for example. But they’re not good. If someone read this as a poem at an open mic I’d shoot them.

It doesn’t change, and in this song I’d really give anything for it to.

Insight – 1

It’s absurdly bad. It’s definitely one of his ‘this was written by a boomer’ songs, which in my opinion are his very worst songs. Some of the lyrics are offensively abysmal:

”I don’t change channels so they must change me” is so bad I rolled my eyes every time I listened to the song. I wanted to quote more lyrics, but because they’re all terrible I didn’t know where to cut off the quotation.

This song fucking sucks. I always skip it when I listen to the album.
